The death of my best friend and his suffering once again presents a test of my spiritual faith. I know full well that I’m not alone as I wallow in my grief. I know that others have felt the sting of death, which gives cause for them to question why God allows suffering, and why bad things happen to good people. The fact that these occurrences always bring me to my Bible to search for an answer might in and of itself be God’s reason for exacting His will in a manner that appears to us as being cruel and void of love.

Annie B. Crockett-Stark has been the elected delegate for the 6th District of Virginia since 2005. She is a very nice lady and can be rather entertaining when relating her many life-stories to her captive audience. What she isn’t is an effective delegate to represent the fine citizens of her 6th District.

We grew up in America with the words of our Declaration of Independence and our Constitution burned into our brain and heart, especially the phrase inserted by Thomas Jefferson which states; “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.”

Christians find solace in various scripture from the Bible that touches upon the subject of how God made us and treats us as we live our life. Contrary to what many believe, the Bible doesn’t contain the phrase, “All men are created equal”. God did inspire words to be spoken and written that adequately express how we are similar and how we are different.
